PARALLEL DREAMS COACHING - Top class coaching on the slopes and online.

This is a really neat idea from one of the best ski schools in the business, Parallel Dreams. You have face to face sessions in a snow dome in the UK or out in The Alps and then follow it up with online coaching from your own personal instructor. It is aimed at keen recreational skiers or people working their way through their instructor qualifications. Via the Parallel Dreams web site you get video analysis, drills and excercises to follow and a pathway to become a better skier. You can even Skype your instructor to get advice or just ask a question. We can't quite believe why someone hasn't done this sooner.

FRESH CHALETS – Small really is beautiful

If you want to go to Val d'Isere, one of the premiere resorts in The Alps, and do it with a small, friendly operator that offers great value for money then look no further. A British couple are living the dream and want to share it with you. Great accommodation and superb food. One of the owners is a top level BASI ISTD qualified instructor and offers a free half day lesson: on or off piste, ski or snowboard. The company also offers free airport transfers.

These guys and girls are in many of the top French resorts and they are some of the best instructors around. They offer personal tuition, great fun on the slopes and they WILL improve your skiing. If you want to ski or snowboard better then try them out. You will not be disappointed.

This resort fits into the category of "undiscovered gem" though it is beginning to get a name for itself. It is actually three linked villages in an unspoilt and excellent part of The Alps. If you want to try somewhere new maybe you shoud think about here. We love it.

Tourist Office web sites are not renowned for their interesting and informative content, but this one is the exception, clearly laid out, impartial and highly detailed it tells you everything you need to know about Switzerland. From train times and national history to the dates of gay festivals.

SAAS-FEE - the pearl of The Alps

The high altitude, car-free and historic Swiss ski resort has long been a favourite of ours at PlanetSKI.  It is not the biggest ski resort of them all but it has fantastic variety of terrain and is suitable for everyone from beginners to experts and families to hardened après-skiers.

INSIDE OUT SKIING - ski school

The ski school offers courses indoors in the UK at the Snow Centre in Hemel Hempstead and then outdoors in The Alps on a series of trips Inside Out Skiing runs. Unlike a normal ski lesson where you just see your instructor for a few days here you have the same instructor over a period of time as he turns you into a better skier via a series of drills and excercises.  It is more like coaching than plain instruction and you will improve!

CHAMONIX - ski resort

Chamonix is one of the most famous resorts in The Alps with its high altitude skiing and big mountain scenery. It is towered over by Mont Blanc and there is pretty much every mountain activity on offer somewhere in the Chamonix Valley.  Anyone serious about skiing should visit the French resort at least once. It's pretty good in the summer too.

EUROPEAN SNOWSPORT - Ski school in Verbier & Zermatt.
