Skis free on RyanAir

It's a sure sign that flight sales for independent skiers are not going well.
The airline has announced that 10,000 passengers will be able to take their skis or snowboards for free if they book a flight before November 11th - that's next Wednesday.
It normally charges £80 to take skis out to The Alps and back.
It appears the airline does not have enough independent skiers and snowboarders travelling with it, hence the promotion.
“Ryanair continues to cut the cost of ski trips by delivering Europe’s guaranteed lowest fares and now we will carry 10,000 passengers’ skis for free – helping them save even more," says Stephen McNamara from the airline.

The airline, SWISS, is marketing itself this winter as being the ski friendly airline as it does not make a charge for taking snowsports equipment.
For skiers and snowboarders Ryanair flies to Genoble and Lourdes in France, Turin in Italy and the Austrian city of Salzburg.
