How much for these skis?
Tuesday November 10, 2009 - Email this article to a friend
They could be worth £420, £4,200 or £42,000. So, which is it?
Yes, you've guessed it, they are £42,000 for the pair.
Only 10 pairs were made and they were on sale only in Courchevel at the Lacroix shop in town.
The Courchevel Exclusive ski set comprises a pair of "Courchevel Exclusive" skis, Lacroix Smartrack bindings, carbon ski poles, leather gloves, ski goggles and two leather pouches.
All these are encased in a leather travel trunk made to measure by Pinel & Pinel, the Parisian specialists in creating exclusive trunks and fine luggage.
The case also has an additional drawer on the bottom as storage space and fitted wheels to make for easy transportation.
We were sent details by a PlanetSKI reader who saw it on the Lacroix web site and we are not quite sure whether it refers to last winter or this coming one.
The box they come in looks a bit awkward to lug round but then if you can afford to buy them in the first place you probably have a team of people to carry your stuff for you.
Apparently people who buy the skis also get a full one year three Vallées ski pass, maintenance service, storage and delivery. Is that all?
We'd have thought they could at least throw in a few diamonds.
