In a handfull of resorts in the Alps winter has started with some runs open.  We don't want to overdo it and pretend it is winter, it is not. 

However sking and snowboarding has started and it feels pretty good.

There has been some good early season snowfall in places but warm temperatures have melted much of it in The Alps, except at high altitude. Despite what you may see on other web sites it's been a  good start in places, but nothing special.
