EasyJet profits fall
Tuesday November 17, 2009 - Email this article to a friend
The airline, used by many skiers and snowboarders, saw profits fall to £43m. A 65% drop.
It blames it on the cost of fuel as the number of passenegers it carries went up 3.4% to 45.2m.
Many businesses now send their employees on the no-frills airlines to save money and analysts say this is one reason for the increase.
The airline said it has put in a good performance despite the difficult economic climate and the huge impact it is having on the aviation world.
EasyJet has forecast a tough winter ahead, but it predicts an overall rise in profits next year.
