The South Korean city will hold the next round of the FIS World Cup Big Air competition this weekend. It's the first Asian city ever to host the event.
The competition will take place in Gwanghwamun Square, in the heart of the Korean capital. The jump will measure 34 meters in height and 100 meters in length.
All eyes will be set on Stefan Gimpl who is currently unbeaten in this year's competition. He will undoubtedly be looking to make it four out of 4 wins.
We reported on his win in Stockholm at the end of November.
Spectacular settingGimpl currently has a 900-point lead over second place Gian Luca Cavigelli from Switzerland.
The event is also being seen as a great PR stunt for the Korean snowsports market to boost interest in winter sports and tourism to the area.
So far the competition has held rounds in London and Barcelona as well; PlanetSKI was at the London event held at Battersea Power station.
The competition starts this Saturday with the training runs and the real competition takes place all day on Sunday.
We will let you know how it all turns out, but it promises to be quite an event.
