Thursday December 24, 2009 - Email this article to a friend
The triple Olympic gold medallist, Julija Tchepalova, has been banned for 2 years.
She was found to have a banned substance in her body last January and she has been banned from the sport until 2011.
Her team mate, Natalia Matveeva, has also been banned.
Tchepalova won Olympic golds in 1998, 2002 and in 2006.
She retired in August after the positive drug test was announced.
We reported on it here on PlanetSKI and for further details see the story on the FIS web site.
