First a film star, now a skier

The actor, Charlie Sheen, was arrested in the ski resort Aspen on charges of domestic violence after the pressures of Xmas built up. Now a ski jump legend is arrested for attempted murder on Christmas day.
It appears Charlie Sheen had an argument with his wife and the police were called.
The screen actor and star of the TV series "Two and a Half Men", then spent much of Christmas day in jail.
He paid bail to be released and is due back in court on February 8th 2010.
The pair married in May last year.

It has now emerged that the Finnish ski jump legend Matti Nykanen, a four-time Olympic champion, has been arrested on suspicion of attempting to murder his wife on Christmas Day.
His wife has injuries to her forehead and hand.
She took refuge at a neighbour's house, from where she called police.
He is now in police custody.
He was a triple gold medal winner in the Calgary Games in 1988.
