The Olympic favourite Lyndsey Vonn is nursing an arm injury after crashing in the World Cup GS race in Austria. She was taken to hospital after the accident and is the latest racer to be injured.
She hurt herself in the morning run and although she took some time to get to her feet, causing some worries in the US team, she was able to ski to the bottom with her arm strapped.
She has not broken any bones.
The race was won by the German, Kathrin Hoelzl .
Vonn has been racing well after a cautious start to the season and is favourite for Olympic Gold in Vancouver in February.
This season there have been many injuries on the World Cup circuit with racers and officials meeting to see what can be done.
The Canadian team has been particularly badly affected, which is a blow for the Olympic host nation.
Now the Canadian snowboarder, Matt Morison, has joined the injury list too. He broke his elbow in Telluride, Colorado and will be out of action for the next month and a half.
It is an important time for the World Championship bronze medallist as he will miss key World Cups events in Austria, Switzerland and Canada.
Vonn's dramatic crash in Austria this weekend. Even with her injury Lyndsey Vonn finished 18th.
