Zermatt seems to have topped the list with the most celebrities in town over the holiday period. Most were musicians.
Our moles in the resort tell us that the celebrities had a musical connection.
Robbie Williams, Phil Collins and Bryan Adams were there.
Also enjoying a white Christmas in the shadow of the Matterhorn was Anna-Frida (the dark haired one from Abba).
The musical theme continued over in Verbier with James Blunt staying in the chalet he owns in the resort.
Sir Richard Branson is another Verbier regular but he was not out over Christmas and the New Year. He s due in town in a couple of weeks though, so our spies tell us.
A couple of veteran actors and actresses were in the Alps with Roger Moore in Crans Montana and Ursula Andress reportedly holidaying in the upmarket Swiss resort of Gstaad.
Also in Crans Montana was the French President Nicolas Sarkozy and keeping up the musical theme was his wife Carla Brunei who recently released an album.
One Gstaad musical resident who was not there this time was the French singer, Johnny Hallyday. He is recovering in hospital in Los Angeles from surgery after another operation for colon cancer.
Meanwhile the wife of the golfer, Tiger Woods, was holidaying in France with her childen. Elin Nordegren was in Chamonix, although Tiger was most definatley not with him.
