Who? She is one of the next generation of British ski racers and it is her first World Cup race. She is a bright prospect for the future.
Pam Thorburn makes her debut on the World Cup circuit as she competes in the Downhill and Super G in Haus Im Enntal, Austria.
The 24 year old, from Glasgow, has been racing in the Europa Cup Team and now moves up for the round in Austria.
She started skiing at the tender age of 3 and her hero is her fellow Scot, Alain Baxter.
For an interview with her on the SnowsportGB web site see here.

Britain's No 1 female racer, Chemmy Alcott, will also be competing.
She follows on from her recent successes including an 11th position at Are in Sweden and a top 10 place in Val d'Isere.
See this video on the Ski Sunday web site that follows Chemmy behind the scenes as she goes to Are in Sweden and is struck down by illness before the race. She managed to compete and did very well.
We will let you know how both women get on over the weekend. It should be fascinating to see how they both do.
NEWS UPDATE AT 13.45 - We have just heard that Pam Thornburn came in last place, 57th, in the Downhill. She would have wanted to do better, but just competing and finishing the course is an achievement in itself. Chemmy Alcott came 32nd. The race was won by Lyndsey Vonn of the USA. We will bring you news of tomorrow's Super G when we get it.
