Teenager dies of head injuries

She skied into a rock and was reportedly not wearing a helmet. The accident happened in Saalbach-Hinterglemm in Austria.
We have been unable to verify the story so far or get many details, but it is reported on the Austrian Times web site and we thought we should bring it to the attention of readers.

Austria is sensitive about the wearing of helmets with children under 15 having to wear them in many places.
If follows the death of a woman last year when the German politician Dieter Althaus, skied into her. He was wearing a helmet and survived; she was not and died.
The incident received extensive media coverage and caused many more people to wear a helmet while skiing.
