Many of the athletes are now in Calgary in Canada putting in their final preparations before the Olympics begins in a week's time. It's quite an atmosphere.
Most of the snowsports athletes lead pretty solitary lives as they compete in their sport, usually travelling the world with just their coaches.
Now though they are part of a team and are bonding together.
42 of the 52 athletes will stay at the Preparation camp in Calgary and at the moment the short track speed skaters, cross-country skiers, half pipe boarders, ski cross athlete Sarah Sauvey and snowboard cross athlete Zoe Gillings are there.
"These people very rarely see each other, and now they're getting a chance to compare notes on their different sports. It's that feeling of growing camaraderie that's really struck me since I arrived in the camp," says the Director of Sport Liason, Adam Parsons.
At its heart is a fully fitted out performance centre, with spinning bikes, power plates and is aided by BOA physiotherapists, doctors, sport scientists and HQ support staff.
"There are awesome facilities here, everyone is really helpful and great. It has everything you could ever want," says Zoe Gillings.
For further information about the British team see this related PlanetSKI story when many of the athletes in the skiing and snowboarding disciplines were announced.
It also contains links to some of the other PlanetSKI stories we have written about the Olympics.
Good luck to all of them!
