Kilner is disappointed too

First it was the snowboard medal hopfull Zoe Gillings who failed to get into the final now Ben Kilner is out of the running too. He is though young with a bright future ahead of him.
He finished in 18th place on Cypress Mountain on Wednesday.
Kilner qualified in good form for the semi-finals with a score of 32.1, but he suffered falls on both runs in the semi-finals (scores 3.1 and 17.0).
At 21 years of age Kilner believes he has two or three more Olympics ahead of him and views Vancouver 2010 as very valuable experience gained. Shortly after the competition Kilner said:
"I'm pretty disappointed right now, but I came here to qualify for the semi-finals so i'm really happy with that. I was having a good second run but unfortunately I fell on the second last trick where I landed slightly flat on the front side nine and that cause me to unfortunately fall over. I just didn't quite have the strength to hold on.
"I now need to go out there and learn the new tricks that the top guys are doing. For Sochi 2014 I'll hopefully be able to catch up with them. The great thing about the halfpipe is that it never stops evolving; new tricks are being invented all the time.
"I think i've got another two or three Olympics in me, so it's only just the beginning for me really, but it was good to come here and get the experience. Now i'm going to concentrate on my training and learning the new tricks to improve.
"The whole Olympic experience has been amazing, it's been a great atmosphere here and it was really nice to have so many of my friends and family supporting me."

Meanwhile another snowboarder has said she is disappointed with her result.
The 35-year-old three time Olympian Lesley McKenna was unable to fulfil her ambitions on the Cypress Mountain halfpipeon Thursday as she suffered falls on both qualification runs.
She finished the competition in 30th position after recording scores of 5.1 and 2.8.
A frustrated McKenna said: “I’d been really looking forward to this Olympics and this morning I was actually riding really well, so it is irritating and disappointing as I was really on form during training.”
McKenna says she is disappointed by her performance
