Freeriding in Austria

Some of the top riders in the world will be Austria later this week for the Austrian Freeski Open. It takes place at Zell Am See.
The main events happen between the Kitzsteinhorn and Schmittenhöhe.
The four day event will attract freeski celebrities like the Swedish rider, Jon Olsson, Australian Russ Henshaw, and Bobby Brown from the USA.
There is prize money of $20,000 up for grabs.
Riding highBesides ladies and men's open competitions, there is a rookies' contest, aimed at young talent under the age of 16.
The ladies' and the rookies' competitions take place on Thursday, while the men compete against each other in qualification rounds on Friday before the final on Saturday.
Besides daredevil jumps and stunning tricks to watch, a supporting programme for visitors includes concerts and DJ acts to round off the 'Freeski Open' in Zell am See-Kaprun.
