Giant mammoth built in Austria
Wednesday March 3, 2010 - Email this article to a friend
It is a 6m high and 12m long mammoth that has been carved out of snow. You can see it in the Austrian resort of Galtur.
It was created in just 4 days by a 5 strong team of sculptors.
So, why do we care?
Well, no particular reason except that it is quite a creation in the Silvapark area of the resort and PlanetSKI readers seem to like tales of snow structures.
Rather oddly this story from last year of a giant snowman built in Galtur is one of our most read ones ever.
