But what is a skiers' lounge? It's an online, pan European, ski community.
It was set up 2 years ago and now has members in over 50 countries.
Skiers' Lounge is free, easy to join and run by www.skiinfo.com
Users can post details of their ski days allowing other members heading out to a resort to check what other skiers are saying about conditions there, live.
They can also post pictures and video of course.
It's one of the few, and certainly the largest, truly international group of snow sports fans.
France, Italy, Germany, The Netherlands, Norway and the UK have the lion's share of Skiers' Lounge membership.
Lounge members can sign up for snow reports from their favourite resorts and receive powder alarms when more than 20cm of snow falls at a particular resort in 24 hours.
Skiinfo provides PlanetSKI with some of its snow report content.
