Not surprisingly they are ones with a short transfer, though there are some surprises. The airline also claims more people are taking mid-week breaks.
France attracts over 50% of the people using the airline.
The most popular resort is Chamonix followed by Avoriaz, Meribel and Les Arcs.
In Austria Kitzbühel and Söll are in the top 10.
Both are within easy reach of Innsbruck airport.
Rather surprisingly the inclusion of the Andorran resorts of Pas de la Casa and Arinsal in the top ten is a surprise.
Although further from the arrival airports, with transfer times from Barcelona of 3 hours, Andorra is still perceived as offering great value for apres ski, while there has been substantial investment in lifts in recent years.
Top Ten
1. Chamonix, France
2. Avoriaz, France
3. Meribel, France
4. Les Arcs 1800, France
5. Pas de la Casa, Andorra
6. Val d'Isere, France
7. Kitzbuhel, Austria
8. Innsbruck, Austria
9. Soll, Austria
10. Arinsal, Andorra
The airline is popular with independent skies and snowboarders, even though it charges for carrying sports equipment.
It is often cheaper than the other airlines, but our advice at PlanetSKI is to always check with other carriers as it is certainly not always the lowest price.
