Britain's paralympic skiers on course

After delays because of the weather the alpine skiing events get under way. We didn't get in the medals but did OK with some brave performances in the Vancouver Games.
The events have been moved because of the weather and Britain's best medal hope, Sean Rose, will ski in his main event, the Downhill, later in the week.
It was due to have taken place last weekend but heavy snow cancelled all the alpine skiing events at Whistler as we reported here.
The slalom though has taken place with Rose coming 8th.
Anna Turney came a very creditable 6th in her slalom race.
"It used to be my least favourite event, so I'm really pleased with that," said Turney. "I think that's a result I can be proud of in my first Paralympic Games."
Meanwhile, the wheelchair curlers came back from two opening-day defeats with a 10-2 win over Switzerland.
On the first day they lost to Canada and Norway.
