It is finally warming up in Scotland but a new police report from the Highlands confirms what we all knew. It was pretty cold last winter.
The A835 in Ross and Cromarty was shut for the first time in 30-years, there were a number of fatal road accidents and 3 climbers died in Lochaber.
Snow was on the ground in many places for months on end and day-to-day activities were made difficult.
The coldest temperature of the winter in the UK was recorded at -22.3c near Sutherland and only last week it was the coldest May night for 14 years when the temperature fell to -6c.
In February the Met Office added things up and compared all the temperatures and pronounced it has been the coldest January and February since record began in 1914.
This month the police have compiled their own report and will see if lessons can be learnt in how they dealt with the return of a long, cold winter.
Travel was disrupted, schools and offices shut and many people severely inconvenienced.
For us people who ski and snowboard though it will go down as one of the best in living memory.
Here's a taste of what it all looked like back in March.
Cairngorm from Loch Morlich
Piled up by the side
Railway closed
Snowed under
And here's an interview with Ian Whitaker, the Chief Executive of Cairngorm, filmed in March.
The resort is still open at weekends and maybe even into June!
