BA strike set to escalate

The union is threatening further industrial action. It says it may ballot its members on more industrial action over the summer.
The new vote may come within the next 2 weeks and the strikes could affect people's summer holidays.
The dispute between cabin crew and the airline centre on jobs, pay and conditions.
However the sticking point on the surface seems to be over the re-instatement of travel perks, though of course deeper issues and feelings are involved.

There is already a series of 5-day strikes under way.

Both sides have offered fresh talks but they are not round the table. Yet.
