To catch a thief
Thursday June 24, 2010 - Email this article to a friend
It's a heart-warming story of how a person got his stolen ski kit back and the alleged thief was arrested. Justice does seem to prevail. Sometimes.
A PlanetSKI reporter saw this story on the internet and e-mailed it on to us.
We are unable to check it out but we can re-count it and show you where to read more.
It seems a man from Ontario in Canada had some ski kit taken from his car last winter after returning home from a weekend ski trip.
If you've ever had anything stolen you will know how he felt.
However a month or so later he saw what appeared to be his kit for sale on line.
So he contacted the seller, discovered it was his and even managed to get his kit back before paying over any money.
He promised to go to the nearest cash machine and bring back payment.
He never did but called the police instead.
For further details see this local media report from Hamilton, Ontario.
