Charlie Sheen admits assaulting wife in Aspen

The US actor has pleaded guilty to the incident in the ski resort of Aspen last Christmas. He has been sentenced to a period in a rehabilitation centre.
His wife, Brooke Mueller, said the 44-year old actor brandished a knife and threatened to kill her after she told him she wanted a divorce while they were on a ski trip.

A judge in Aspen, Colorado, has sentenced Sheen to 30 days at a rehabilitation centre in California after he pleaded guilty.
It's understood he will not spend long there though as he has already been undergoing treatment.
Other charges were dropped.
It had been thought he might do community work in Aspen including helping out at a local theatre.
He has also been placed on probation for 3 months.
In a statement the Two and a Half Men star said he wanted to put the while incident behind him and get on with his life.
