New ski routes from the north
Wednesday August 25, 2010 - Email this article to a friend

The airline Jet2.com has unveiled details of new ski flights to Geneva from Newcastle and Edinburgh. Prices start at £29.99 but they usually end up costing more. See also what the other airlines are offering for the winter.

For a start the lead in price with Jet2ski is only one way and, er, most people want to come back as well.

Newcastle flights run during peak season from December 26th to January 9th and then from February 20th to March 27th.

The Edinburgh route will operate from February 20th to March 27th.

Flights are on sale now and cost from £29.99 one way including taxes.

"Our winter ski flights are extremely popular, with the UK's ski and snowboard enthusiasts unable to resist their annual fix of Europe's snow-capped mountains," claims the Jet2.com chief executive, Philip Meeson.

"With this growing demand we have increased our services from the North for this season, giving people in the region an even greater choice of winter holiday destinations."

Earlier this month Ryanir announced its ski routes for the winter and we reported on their true price if you want to take luggage and skis.

BA has also added a ski route from London City to Chambery as we reported on PlanetSKI.

Easyjet too has some new ski routes.

And while we are looking at air routes to to The Alps here is Snowjet that flies into the small Swiss airport of Sion and serves Verbier, Zermatt and other local ski areas.

And let's not forget Flybe.
