A third of Swiss hotels may close

That's the stark warning from the head of the Swiss Hotels Association. He believes more than 1,000 may shut over the next decade.
The ones most at risk are the small family ones, the type often found in the mountains.
Guglielmo Brentel says these hotels need to find a niche market to compete with the bigger ones and offer something unique.
Otherwise he says they will go out of business.
He has been making his thoughts clear in an interview with the web site, Swissinfo.

40% of the hotels in Switzerland account for more than three quarters of all business and that means the rest have alot of empty rooms.
