Lynsey Vonn, Torah Bright and Alana Nichols have been nominated for the Sportswomen of the Year award presented by the Women's Sports Foundation.
Lindsey Vonn needs no introduction as she won her third consecutive World Cup victory last winter and is one of the most famous skiers on the planet.
She had a slightly disappointing Olympics at Vancouver, by her standards, but still picked up a gold medal in the downhill and a bronze in the Super G.
Torah Bright took gold in the half pipe at the winter games and won the World Cup in Switzerland as well as several victories during the tour.
She was also a joint recipient of the Ski & Snowboard Australia Athlete of the Year.
Alana Nichols is a paraolympic double gold medallist and she also took silver in the Super G and bronze in the super combined.
She won a gold medal at the Summer Olympics in wheelchair basketball and is the first American woman to earn gold in both summer and winter Paralympics.
The Women's Sports Foundation was founded by Billie Jean King in 1974, and works to promote sports and physical activity for girls and women.
Voting takes place on line and the award will be made on October 12th.
