You may well be back at work and feeling a little bit slow after the holidays. Well here is the chance to sharpen your mind up; a short mental quiz. It has absolutley nothing to do with skiing. Except a reader, who is a skier, sent it to us.
We have just been sent the following few questions by one of our readers and thought we'd share them with you...... Bon chance!
FIRST QUESTION: You are taking part in a race and you overtake the second person. What position are you in?

FIRST ANSWER: If you answered that you are first then you are, er, wrong. If you overtake the second person and take his her/position then you are second.
SECOND QUESTION: If you overtake the last person then what position are you in?

SECOND ANSWER: If you answered second to last then you are wrong again. How can you overtake the last person?
THIRD QUESTION: This one must be done in your head. No cheating. Take 1,000 and add 40 to it. Now add another 1,000, now add 30. Add another 1,000 and now add 20. Now another 1,000 and a further 10. What is the total?

THIRD ANSWER: Did you get 5,000? The corect answer is actually 4,100.
FOURTH QUESTION: Mary's father has 5 daughters. 1. Nana, 2. Nene, 3. Nini, 4. Nono, and 5. ??? What is the name of the fifth daughter?
