Skiing the volcanos
Saturday September 4, 2010 - Email this article to a friend

It doesn't get much more exciting as a group from the UK ski some in The Andes. Check out the photos they have sent us.

The group has been in Chile and Argentina on a trip organised by Snoworks.

They flew into Santiago and then headed off to the mountains; first in Chile, then Argentina before heading back to Chile.

The volcanos were the Mocho volcano in the Huilo national park, the Villarica volcano and the Lonquimay volcano.

"Summiting the Mocho volcano at 2,422m with the full group & the epic ski down it was undoubtedly the best bit of the trip," says the expedition leader, Lee Townend from Snoworks.

"The Lonquimay volcano was pretty special too and we had the deepest, lightest powder in Corralco lodge for the last three days."
