The band will play in town to mark the start of the ski and snowboard season. The Austrian resort is famous for its opening and closing concerts that attract big stars and big crowds.
Up to 20,000 people are expected to welcome in the winter at the concert down in the town. The end of season one is held up on the ski slopes.
The high energy band, fronted by Beth Ditto, should get the crowds going with hits such as Heavy Cross, Love Long Distance and Standing in the Way of Control.
"Gossip will provide a brilliant start to the new season," said Andreas Steibl, the Tourist Director for Paznaun-Ischgl. "We have many treats in store for skiers and boarders this season and this is just the first."
Gossip is no stranger to playing in the Alps.
The band played at the Paleo Festival near the Swiss town of Nyon last summer.
Gossip at Paleo festivalThe festival, by the shores of Lake Geneva, is little-known outside the country.
However, it attracts more music fans than the Isle of Wight and Glastonbury combined, as we have reported on PlanetSKI.
The PlanetSKI content editor was in Ischgl for the concert by Sir Elton John in the Spring of 2008 and we reported on Leona Lewis later in the same year here on PlanetSKI.
The resort opens on Friday November 26th with the concert on Saturday 27th.
Entry to the concert arena is by valid lift pass.
As well as Sir Elton John and Leona Lewis the resort has seen a host of stars; Katy Perry, Alicia Keys, Kylie Minogue, Rihanna, The Pussycat Dolls, The Scissor Sisters and Lionel Richie.

There are two new chairlifts for this winter. The first is the €8m Lange Wand chairlift, a black framed six-person heated chairlift with weather hood that will transport skiers and boarders up to Ischgl's highest point of Greitspitz.
See this separate feature on PlanetSKI where we ask if heated chairlifts are really necessary.
The second new lift in Ischgl is a replacement of the Muller-Bahn with a six-person chairlift with weather hood.
Ischgl has 41 lifts with 238kms of groomed runs.
It also has some very good off piste when the conditions allow as we can testify at PlanetSKI.
