Glen Plake barely needs an introduction. 

He’s the one with the Mohican hairstyle, the star of one of the most famous ski films ever, The Blizzard of Aahhhs, recognised wherever he goes on the slopes and about the most passionate skier we’ve ever come across.

We caught up with him earlier this month at the Nissan Freeride World Tour in Tignes where he was heading up a judging panel.  As the riders threw themselves down the Grand Balme, James Cove, began by asking him if he’d rather be up on the mountain skiing rather than sitting in a deck chair judging.

Oh, and by the way, when he talks about randonnes boots he’s referring to James’s ski touring boots.  It’s French words for them and James skis in them pretty much the whole time.
