Finland's Janne Korpi wins the LG Snowboard FIS World Cup opener while the British rider Jamie Nichols is just edged off the podium into 4th place. It all took place by Battersea power station in London. Check out the videos.
The London Relentless Freeze, a three day event of music and snowsports, is now in its fourth year and is a firm fixture in the early season calendar as some of the best riders in the world compete in the FIS Snowboard World Cup.
As well as the riding there is a music festival too and this year The Streets performed on Saturday. Others on stage were Everything, The Joy Formidable, Summer Camp, Rizzle Kicks, Spector, Clement Marfo, Backbeat Soundsystem and The Beat Medikz.
On the main stage on Friday there was Zane Lowe, Red Light, Groove Armada, Dub Pistols, Last Gentlemen, DJ Arveene, The Beat Medikz, Beardyman and Azari & III.
Over the weekend 20,000 people turn up to watch the riders and party.
Up on the ramp 53 snowboarders competed with Janne Korpi taking first place, followed by Belgium's Seppe Smitts in the second position and the Dutchman, Joris Ouwerkerk, coming third.
"I fell on my first run which left me feeling a little nervous, but then everything started to stick," said Korpi after his victory. "I landed everything in practice. I knew it was there and then it all came together."
Jamie Nichols put on a superb display and got some of the loudest cheers from the crowd but he was edged into 4th position.
Check out the new Salomon Shredcast from the Freeze below.
"The world best athletes across skiing and snowboarding compete on the specially constructed 32 metre high jump complete with 500 tonnes of real snow. Nowhere in the UK will you see this level of riding," said the organisers.
