Friday January 27, 2012 - Email this article to a friend
It was used as the getaway vehicle after thieves stole a 100kg safe from a youth hostel in the ski resort of Valbella in Switzerland.
Swiss police said a number of people broke into the building overnight in the resort in the canton of Graubuenden.
The safe was in the hostel's main office.
They also took cash and a number of cheques.
It is thought the robbers put the safe on the snowboard and hauled it away.
Tracks were followed for a while.
The amount of money stolen and what was in the safe has not been revealed.
The police have appealed for witnesses to come forward.
