Vail and Verbier link up
Friday September 7, 2012 - Email this article to a friend
It may some rather strange to announced that the US resort is offering a joint lift pass with the Swiss resort but it is. Sort of.
Vail Resorts has announced that anyone buying a season lift pass in the US will be able to ski for 3 days in the Swiss resort. And vice versa.
"So what?" you may ask.
Well it is the first time a North American resort has linked up so closely with a European ski area and it could signal the start of closer co-operation on other fronts.
We have just heard the news and will bring you a full report on the move and the implications later.
There is more to it than meets the eye.
