It's snowing in the Alps
Tuesday June 23, 2009 - Email this article to a friend
Parts of Austria have been hit by a rather unseasonal dump of fresh snow. It makes an odd sight in June. Check out the pictures.
It's not much and it will probably melt soon, but it is June and it is snow in the Austrian Alps! In places there is snow as low as 1650m.
Up on the glaciers, many of which are open for summer skiing, it is a welcome sight.
