Billionaires, look out!

If the multi-million pound chalet has to go because of the credit crunch, then the wife may too.

A recent feature story in the Daily Telegraph caused a few smiles here at planetSKI.

Apparently the credit crunch is causing a few of the mega rich to sell their ski chalets or cancel purchases, the only problem is some gold digging wives then make a sharp exit too as their standard of living drops.

rich_1_400The story cites a woman called Sasha who, for the past few months, had been gloating about the £3.4 million chalet in Verbier her husband was about to exchange on.  She had apparently hired a high-society interior decorator to do it up for a song (''more an anthem, actually") and how much she was looking forward to spending Xmas in the Swiss Alps.

At the last minute, her husband pulled out of the deal as he had lost his lucrative job in the City.

She is apparently suing him for divorce on the grounds of mental cruelty and the fact that he deliberately traumatised her.

Property prices are falling in many ski resorts as a result of the credit crunch so perhaps the story is true!

Our hearts bleed for them all.
