Bruce Willis re-builds his ski lodge
Tuesday July 14, 2009 - Email this article to a friend
It burnt down in a fire and he apparently has big plans. But please, please don’t look at this if you hate celebrity ski news as we are running a little office sweep-stake.
You see our content editor, James Cove, hates celebrity news but we reckon it is of interest to people and we keep telling him we should do more.
He mixes with a few of them in Verbier during the winter where he lives and even teaches some of them.
He knows when Hugh Grant, James Blunt, Fergie, Sir Richard Branson, Princes William and Harry and many others are in town and sometimes what they get up to. But he refuses to write about it.
Well, James is touring round the Alps at the moment on his motorbike so we are free to put up what we like (after a bit of consultation with him via his mobile!).
The story is a simple one.
Bruce Willis has a lodge in Soldier Mountain, Idaho and it burnt down after an electrical fault. Apparently Mr Willis has said he plans to re-build it and many of the locals are happy as it will put the resort on the map. Some reports even say he owns the rights to skiing in the area.
It’s plastered all over many other ski webs sites at the moment as news and we are sure it is doing very well with the hits.
“It’s rubbish and is just a cheap headline. A multi-millionaire Hollywood actor owns a building in a ski resort that he probably rarely visits. He undoubtedly can’t ski for a toffee either. It burns down and he might re-build it. Zzzzzzzzz”, is James’s point of view.
Others here in the office say celebrity news is news and that people will look at the story with interest.
So, he has be-grudgingly allowed us to tell the story briefly.
If you have a view please tell us in the comment box.
We think he’s a boring git!

Yes - definitely more celeb news. Everyone loves it even though many people won't admit it. It's a talking point. Tell James to stop being so pompous and po-faced!!!
