Ryanair adds ski routes from Scotland
Monday August 24, 2009 - Email this article to a friend

The routes will be from Edinburgh but the airline is not saying where they will go to.

An announcement is expected within the next 2 weeks.  It's thought there will be 2 or 3 new ways to get to The Alps.

In addition to the new ski routes the airline have added Barcelona, Brussels, Gdansk, Gran Canaria, Oslo, Tenerife and Lanzarote to its winter schedule.

The airline will run 26 routes from Edinburgh this winter which is an increase of 42% on last winter when it had 19 routes.

Ryanair is expected to carry two million passengers through Edinburgh this year, and the airline claims it has created  2,000 local jobs.

We'll let you know about the new ski routes on PlanetSKI as soon as we hear.
