It's become an open secret that the cycle race will pass through Morzine and Avoriaz next summer.

We heard the rumour a few weeks ago and now it appears certain, though an official announcement will not be made until 14^th October.

The 97^th Tour de France runs from 3^rd July to 25^th July and is believed to be starting in Rotterdam.

The race is won and lost in the mountain sections and it is where the race gets some of the greatest attention.

This year PlanetSKI reported on it extensively as it passed though the Alps and we looked at what the financial impact is for the resorts that get The Tour.

The Portes du Soleil must be pretty pleased, if true of course!
