Design your own graphics
Friday September 25, 2009 - Email this article to a friend

If you don't like the factory colours and patterns on your ski or snowboard then this may be for you. Simply chose your own.

The idea from the firm, Kaorigin, is a simple one.

You select the ski you want from the Dynastar, Rossignol, Zag or Blacksmith ranges then go to the company's web site.  Look through 600 different designs and then select the one for you.

Within the next 2 weeks the company promises that your personalised equipment will turn up.

Simple ideaSimple ideaCosts range from €250 - €750 (£229 - £690)

It is even possible for you to send in your own photo of graphics and the company will make them for you.

The company launched a couple of years ago and reports business to be good.  It has expanded into the summer water sports market and customises helmets too.

We haven't been able to check out the exact price of the skis compared to buying them with manufacturers design so if you have done so then please let us know at PlanetSKI so other readers can know the price difference.

But if you like your graphics and value having your own personalsed ski or snowboard then this might well be for you.

Kaorigin was founded by 2 Frenchmen; Jacques Lacroix who was director of R&D for Salomon and Rossignol and Jean-Marie Martin who looks after the commercial and marketing side of the business.

Check out the web site below if it sounds like your sort of thing.
