One struck in St Anton in Austria and the other was in Italy near the Swiss border. It follows an avalanche earlier in the week in Austria that killed 4 Swiss ski tourers.

Five people had been skiing off-piste near St Anton in the Tirol on Friday when the avalanche hit.

Two people died but their gender and nationalities have not been released as next of kin are informed.
