The annual alpine festival, the UK's paramount winter sports event is back! Clear 26-29th October to kick off Winter 17/18

Returning to Battersea Evolution in Battersea Park, The Telegraph Ski & Snowboard Show promises thrill-seeking entertainment, informative talks and demonstrations, the latest apparel and equipment.

Plus opportunities to lap up the après lifestyle before the winter has even started.

Taking place over half term on 26th - 29th October, it claims to offer something for the complete beginner, the seasoned pro and everyone in between.

In the lead up to the 2018 Winter Olympics, visitors will have the chance to get up close and personal with the stars of the British Ski and Snowboard team .

There are Q+A sessions in the Mountain Talks Theatre and you can check out their impressive stunts on Mount Battersea - the 50-foot real-snow kicker.

This year's athletes will compete in a brand new big air competition, where riders will do their best to impress the judges for a prize pot share of £3,000 for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.

The main hall features a broad range of exhibitors including ski resorts, tour operators, all the top ski and snowboard brands, and a tech innovation zone with the most cutting-edge gadgets for winter.

Visitors are invited to the Mountain Talks Theatre, brought to you by the tour operator Neilson.

There's a line up of expert guest speakers covering sustainability, avalanche safety and screenings of some of the industry's best ski films.

To complete the après activities, there will be an ice skating rink (now open for booking), late night après on the Friday and Saturday, live music and comedy performances and alpine-themed food and drink stalls offering everything from hot chocolate to tartiflette.
