MONDAY 17TH JULY

ANDRZEJ BARGIEL SKIS DOWN BROAD PEAK - CLOSE TO K2

The 29 year old Polish ski mountaineer Andrzej Bargiel is currently attempting to climb K2, with a pair of skis on his back.

Once he summits, he then intends to ski down the savage mountain.

The video below shows Andrzey skiing down Broad Peak that is located along the western Baltoro glacier between K2 and Gasherbrum IV.

Broad Peak is the 12th highest mountain in the world at 8,047m found in the Karakoram Range in Northeastern Pakistan.

The commentary in the video is Polish, but the skiing is universal - Andrzej comments on the problems and the technical difficulty the slope presented climbing up and skiing down.

The video provides us with some insight into his K2 challenge - we wish Andrzej and his team a lot of luck.

Mont Blanc Trailer:  We're looking forward to seeing the full version of this one.

This Polish crew won the Mont Blanc 4,810m race back in August.

The Alps left a lasting impression on these guys who say they will return next year, however in the meantime they invite us to join them on the highest peak in Europe.

THURSDAY 13TH JULY

The Unlinked Heritage of Snowboarding:  The people of Petran, in Turkey, have been snowboarding for roughly 300 years.

It’s not snowboarding as we know it, but you’ll recognize it.

In this film by WRKSHRT, we follow Alex Yoder and Nick Russell into Turkey’s Kaçkar Mountains on a quest to unearth the unlinked heritage of snowboarding and have some fun in the process.

We posted a #skiingsecrets short story related to a new product called the AXISKI that bears a similarity to these Turkish boards.

Click on the link and check out the AXISKI Scroll to #SKIINGSECRETS post dated 13th July.

WEDNESDAY 12TH JULY

Crank up the volume, sit back, enjoy.

TUESDAY 11TH JULY

Best Jumps - Matchstick Greatest Hits Vol.1 - It all began in 1992, and now 25 years later MSP felt it was time to release their collection of Greatest Hits.

To kick things off they dived deep into the archives and combined their favorite jumps from over the years, putting them all together in one kick ass segment.

FRIDAY 7TH JULY

Tomamu Bound: Jeremy Pancras shares some Japanese moments in deep snow.

Hoshino Resorts Tomamu was the last stop of his one month trip to Japan that happened this past February.

They were amazed by the infitine possibilites offered by the resort so they tried to show and share as much as possible in the shortest time possible.

We wish they'd stayed a little longer!

WEDNESDAY 5TH JULY

Wing suit Jumping at the lowest point on Earth - Operation Dead Sea:

Brace yourselves for a salty landing in the Dead Sea.

It's not every day that you get to see someone flying below sea level.

That is exactly what Jon Devore, Mike Swanson and Andy Farrington managed to pull off!

The jump took place from approxiamitily 1,865 meters above Panorama road overlooking the Dead Sea, which happens to be -430 meters below sea level.

As the athletes took turns challenging each other in getting as close as possible to the ground to cross the Zero level barrier - marked by the flag of Jordan- in a very daring move, the parachutes were opened at -170 meters below sea level for the jumpers to eventually swoop land on the surface of one of the saltiest bodies of water in the world.

TUESDAY 4TH JULY

Dad's Day Out is literally that.

One guy skinning up a hill and then telemarking down.

MONDAY 3RD JULY

Deep Snow Memory throws us back into the depths of winter.

It's mid January and these guys experience pristine, light powder dry snow in the Kiroro ski resort in Hokkaido, Japan.

SATURDAY 1ST JULY

In Slacker the guys push the limits and learn to slackline.... in what seems to be a dedicated school to learning the skill.

Pushing limits is nothing new.

That's precisely how performance levels trend skyward.

But what if we told you there was a place, deep in the deserts of Utah, where the lines of progressive sports blur while simultaneously apexing to new, unfathomable realities of what's possible?

The informal, annual gathering at the aptly named Fruit Bowl, outside Moab, organically draws envelope-pushers of all shapes, sizes and disciplines.
