Riders for next year's competition are named with 42 skiers and snowboarders over four categories.

It's the five-stop tour where riding is at its most extreme.

The 2018 tour will see 20 male and eight female skiers, eight snowboarding men and six women.

It includes seasoned tour veterans and new athletes alike.

Three new ski men to watch are Canadian Trace Cooke, Kiwi Craig Murray and France's Mickael Bimboes.

The USA's Rachel Croft is a rookie in the women's ski discipline and will be competing against serious tour returners going for Lorraine Huber's title of Freeride World Champion.
