Salomon recalls binding
Saturday October 17, 2009 - Email this article to a friend
There is a problem with the toe binding which means the boot could suddenly come out of the ski. It would inevitably result in a fall and possible injury.
The company has said the binding was made between July and October 2008 and would have been sold on skis in the 2008/9 season.
They include Salomon, Atomic and TECNOpro bindings.
"The bindings must not be used as in certain circumstances the toe components may not fully secure the ski boot into the binding, possibly causing the binding to release inadvertently, posing a falling risk to the skier," says the company in a statement.
The product was sold across the world and any required adjustment will be made free of charge.
Visit the Salomon web site for further details of which bindings may be affected.
