GB's leading racers and up-and-coming skiers will head to the French resort in 2018 as the event returns to Tignes for a fourth year.

The Delancey Championships - held at the Stade in Val Claret - are the biggest event on the British alpine calendar and look set to attract more than 500 competitors across all age groups.

The Senior and Junior Championships will take place between 25th March and 1st April with the Children's Championships from 2nd to 6th April.

The 2018 event is scheduled a matter of weeks after the end of the PyeongChang Winter Olympics.

Great Britain's top alpine skier, slalom specialist Dave Ryding, is expected to be there to defend his title for a ninth time.

PlanetSKI was in Tignes in March this year as Ryding won a record eighth British slalom title.

We spoke to him about his amazing World Cup medal-winning season and reported on all the results from the Senior and Junior Championships:

The rising stars of the racing scene will get to test themselves against the best of British in Downhill, Super G, Giant Slalom and Slalom contests.

The Children's Championships are for four separate age categories from under 10s to under 16s.

"It is testament to Tignes and their commitment to putting on world-class events that we are back for a fourth year to run the Delancey British National Alpine Ski Championships," said Dave Edwards, Chief Executive of the sport's governing body, British Ski and Snowboard.

"Each year the standard of skiing and racing seems to rise, and we don't expect 2018 to be any different.

"We are also, once again, hugely grateful for the support of Sir John and Jamie Ritblat and Delancey as principal sponsor of British Ski and Snowboard and the Championships."
