Chemmy Alcott is ready to win
Wednesday October 21, 2009 - Email this article to a friend
Chemmy is set for Soelden this weekend, she came 10th in the opening race of the season last year. This time, in Chemmy's own words, 'I'm skiing to win'.
With the Winter Olympics just a few months away, Soelden will prove to be an early indication of who will be challenging for the medals in Vancouver in February.
She's doing 5 events at the Olympics and we wish her well on the medal front, but she also needs to keep her eye on the World Cup Circuit.
PlanetSKI saw Chemmy training in Saas Fee this week, and what a great performance.
27-year old Chemmy Alcott is currently Britain's only female skiing at World Cup level, and after a tough 2008/2009 and a broken ankle she is hoping for bigger things this season. Following her 10th position she broke her ankle during training for the next race in Canada resulting in three months on the sidelines.
PlanetSKI wishes Chemmy Alcott luck at Soelden this weekend. We have a reporter there who will be keeping us up to date with all the action in Austria.
