Eurostar cancels 2017/18 service through Lyon

Eurostar has cancelled its 2017 winter service from London and Ashford to Lyon, which had made a good route to many French ski resorts.

Eurostar has stated that it is due to a 'lack of demand' for the service.

However, this rail option was popular with those that already knew about it.

Eurostar did not market the service well and the booking process was made difficult so even dedicated rail-ski fans had troubles.

Snowcarbon is frustrated to hear about this cancellation and is resolved to trying to get the service back on track for the 2018-19 season.

In more positive news, there is a new sleeper train to the Tirol.
