Ryanair profits rise
Monday November 2, 2009 - Email this article to a friend
The low cost airline has seen a sharp increase to £376.2m. Last year it made a loss.
The fluctuation in profit and loss is partly accounted for by alterations in the oil price, but the airline says it is doing well in the difficult conditions.
The airline has said market conditions are still "difficult" with "an absence of consumer confidence".
It has criticised some rises in airport taxes and threatened to move its routes to other destinations.
The airline is popular with some skiers and snowboarders due to the initial price of the flight but this quickly rises once luggage as added and carrying sports equipment is almost prohibitively expensive with Ryanair.
