Chamonix welcomes World Cup racers

The Kandahar Men's Downhill has taken place on La Verte des Houches course. Tens of thousands of people were cheering on their heroes in freezing temperatures.The races were won by the Austrian Klaus Kroell and Jan Hudec from Canada.

The Crashed ice World Championship is like Ski X on a bob sleigh track with jumps and obstacles as skaters race each other down a course of sheet ice. Check out the video.

Sochi test event cancelled

The first main test event for the ski jumping at the site of the 2014 Winter Olympics has been postponed as the facilities are not ready.
