Chucking it down in The Alps
Rain in many places, but some powder snow up on the glaciers. Just as the summer skiing resorts are closing, down comes the snow. It probably won't last long but a few people are making the most of it.Remember last winter?
Snowy and cold with record snowfalls in Scotland and across many parts of the UK. Well scientists predict it is unlikely to happen again for a long time. It was a one off.

Loveland has put out its snow cannons in preparation for a drop in the temperature. It's all a bit of a PR stunt really but, what the hell, it means winter is approaching.
