Crystal Ski Wipeout

Some new snow but more is needed.

It's always difficult to generalise but that is the overall picture. It's got colder in The Alps and there has been some fresh snow in places. The Pyrenees has had a little with Scotland continuing to have a record season. He's the PlanetSKI round up of snow conditions round the world.

More snow is falling

After a warmer spell is has become cold and more snow is set to fall in The Alps. Some is coming down already. In Scotland there have been record levels of the white stuff. Here's our look at conditions round the world.

Scottish resorts dig themselves out

It's a week of clearing and digging as the resorts tried to take advantage of the huge snowfalls. All 5 resorts had problems opening their access roads and Cairngorm was buried the deepest in the huge levels of snow.

3 perish in Swiss avalanches

There have been a number of separate incidents and the authorities are warning people to be extra careful after the recent snowfall. A mountain guide died in one incident while in another an avalanche hit a marked run burying 5 people.
